If you are looking for effective therapeutic services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), you have found the right place! Our specialized program is designed to help children and teenagers on the autism spectrum manage their condition and improve their overall well-being.
The Cool Kids Autism Spectrum Program, originating from Macquarie University in Australia, is individually structured and tailored to meet the unique needs of children and pre-teens/teenagers on the autism spectrum who struggle with anxiety that affects their everyday lives. Our program comes in two versions: Cool Kids Autism Spectrum for children and Chilled Autism Spectrum for pre-teens and teenagers. Both versions of our program employ a cognitive behavioural approach, focusing on developing anxiety management skills in day-to-day scenarios.
Individual sessions begin with 1-2 assessment sessions, discussing a treatment plan tailored to your child’s needs. This comprehensive assessment helps determine whether the Cool Kids or Chilled Autism Spectrum group program would be most beneficial. By conducting the assessment in two phases, we can ensure the group program is suitable before your child starts treatment.
Families are provided with relevant information on each session’s topic during the program. They actively participate in dialogues, games, and role-plays to learn and apply new skills in real-life contexts. Practice tasks are assigned after every session to reinforce the learning process.
